Strong Cyberattack Targets France's Government Websites Arrest of Post-Telegram Founder

The demonstration against the French authorities' detention of Telegram CEO and founder Pavel Durov is evolving. There is now an attack on the websites of the government. After being detained for more than 24 hours, the government may face severe retaliation from several sources.

Support For Telegram CEO: Downed Government Websites in France

A foreign government coming under heavy fire is not something that happens very often. At least two websites have been taken offline, according to Le Parisien. Among these websites is the official government portal, which maintains an archive of the most recent legislation and rules. DDoS assaults also brought down the National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (ANSM) website.

Pavel Durov, as previously reported, is currently facing about twelve accusations, and his incarceration might last up to ninety-six hours. It is believed that the Telegram CEO's detention was made mostly for political reasons. In yet another power struggle between the West and Russia, even Russian officials were refused access to the Durov.

French President Emmanuel Macron cleared the air on the arrest on X on Monday. He said that the arrest was made solely on the basis of a judicial inquiry. He pointed out that the final say in the case rests with the responsible authorities.

Pavel Durov has received the support of numerous international investors and leaders, including Elon Musk. Being a fervent supporter of free speech, Elon Musk is very worried about the situation. The X Chairman is aware that since he has refused to comply with demands for censorship from international governments, he too may face similar crackdowns.

Due to tense requests for censorship from Justice Alexandre de Moraes of the Supreme Court, X Corp just left Brazil.

The Durov Case's Next Step

Although the Telegram CEO's future is still undetermined, the related coins are suffering the most. Right now, Toncoin (TON) could fall out of the top 10 digital currencies. There is also a lot of pressure on other native tokens, such as Notcoin and Hamster Kombat.

At the time of writing, TON's price was set at $5.525, down 4.76% in a single day, while NOT's price had dropped by 9.3% to $0.008727. The price of Notcoin runs the danger of returning to $0.005 in the near future if the trends do not improve.
